"5-year-old in a Chucky costume terrorizes unsuspecting people in an Alabama neighborhood"-TODAY
It’s hard for me to articulate the level of happiness this TODAY headline gave me.
"THIS is what happens when there’s not a Chucky movie at least every few years," one commenter wrote. "He takes to the streets."-Facebook comment from the article.
Read the TODAY article and the one I’m quoting below; I linked it several times. This was, of course, a kiddo just having some fun, and I have to say I’d be happy to babysit for this little guy anytime.
Here’s a great follow-up article from his mom, who was alerted while at work, commenting, "That's something my kid would do.”
"I zoomed in and said, ‘Oh my goodness,’ that’s my kid," she told the outlet. Reed then contacted her mother, who was watching Jackson. Her mother admitted to helping him in the costume, so he could conduct his neighborhood watch. -Fox News (don’t roll your eyes, I don’t discriminate against this kind of journalism)
“Conduct his neighborhood watch”-I LOVE IT.
Of course, people like to ruin things, so there have been some negative comments about the little guy, and I think that’s just foolish.
Also, it’s the perfect segway into something I know you’ve all been curious about:
Where the heck is this Are You Afraid of The Dark series I was promised?
Well, I'll tell you.
In the garbage. 🗑️🔥
Before I pressed "publish" on Vol. 1 last week, Wyatt put his paw on the keyboard and looked at me, and his eyes said:
"You can do a lot better than this."
And you know what….he was right.
So, I did.
This is going to be darker.
Yes, we are still going to explore/deep dive into a missing person/urban legend case each week.
Then will examine “unpopular opinions/theories” regarding these cases and see which ones we can debunk.
All of this will be done respectfully because, at the end of the day, these are real people and families, and this sure as heck is not going to be one of those weird YouTube make-up tutorials that discuss true crime.
Yeah, that’s a thing!
I’m all for being inventive and putting a fresh spin on things, but I don't know if smoky eye tutorials and murder go together as seamlessly as one may think…
Anyways, you can look forward to reading the type of reporting that makes you want to look over your shoulder-check behind the shower curtain kind of creepy.👻
So grab your Depends because you're gonna need it. ❤️
So, in the interim, I thought I’d provide some background on what you can look forward to.
